You know, sometimes they make me sick. If anyone read our blog besides us and our wives, then I would rant about it there.
I've been a loyal fan since I discovered how cool basketball was. Over fifteen years now, and yet today, I feel ready to throw in the towel. Of course I will feel differently when the season actually starts and all the hype in the local press accumulates. But hearing about Strawberry makes me sick. I knew something was wrong when the paper kept mentioning how they hadn't picked up his option yet and had until the opening day roster. A lousy seven hundred thousand and they trade him because of the luxury tax and then blame it on his turnovers during summer league. Greg Oden fouled out of every summer league game. Are the Blazers going to trade him. I know my view is biased because I loved the kid. I can't believe they didn't want him. Fits Porters system - defense - well. He doesn't have to play point, that is why they brought in Dragic. Everytime he was in the game, all 33 appearances, he had an impact, hustle play, of somekind. Nobody cares about summer league. It's just another money pinching move by Sarver and his puppet GM. Mark my words, this one is going to come back and bite them.
